Who We Are:

Morgan Sullivan (he/they)

Morgan is an actor, filmmaker and dog dad of two longhaired dachshunds. He came to the group excited to share his experiences as a trans creative in the industry, and what he found was a community of artists deeply committed to creating actionable, tangible change for those working in entertainment. The support, thoughtfulness and get-it-done attitude of the group has reinvigorated his hope for the future of on-camera storytelling.

Shannon DeVido (she/her)

Shannon is an actress, comedian, and writer whose experience as a disabled woman in the industry has brought her to this group. She has seen representation grow but knows there is a lot of work to be done to improve accessibility and inclusivity across the board. The morals, drive, dedication, and kindness of this group inspires and motivates her to do more than yell on Twitter. She is excited to do the work with these incredible people.

Michelle Hurd (she/her)

Michelle has been an actor and activist for years, advocating for performers with her work in SAG AFTRA. A New Yorker at heart, she’s a badass who will stand up for what she believes is right with all the force of a hurricane. But a nice one. She said yes to joining yet another group because she thinks the power of people joining together to do stuff is the best way to change the system.

Beth Morgan (she/her)

Beth is a costume designer who is really good at her job. She is known for making performers comfortable in fitting room spaces, for creating stories with clothes, and for being awesome. As a member of the DEI committee of the Costume Designers’ Guild, she’s been working toward equity in her field and making sure people get the respect they deserve.

Allison Tolman (she/her)

Alllison is an actress and writer who came to the group through her experience in body activism. She enjoys taking notes during meetings and using the skills she gained during her past life in corporate America to fight the patriarchy with well worded emails. Her favorite thing about this group is its practical approach to activism through realistic, achievable goal setting.

Alison Pill (she/her)

Alison is an actor and mom who came to the group because she’s seen, experienced, and participated in the many harms done to folks in the industry.  She’s been acting since the age of ten, and has witnessed the good, the bad, and the effortfully mediocre efforts to change it.  The action-driven, small-things-lead-to-big-sustainable-things ethos of the group has inspired her in times of hopelessness, and the feeling of community has unleashed a bit of an activist.  Uh oh.

Bethany Kay (she/ her)

Bethany is an actor, career and audition coach, and sometime stunt performer from Jersey. An overthinker by nature who often succumbs to “idea paralysis”, she’s grateful to have this community to encourage her with its step by step calls to action. Here to help empower industry professionals to be better humans and artists, and to figure out what that can mean along the way.

Ashlie Atkinson (she/her)

Ashlie is an actress who is also fat, and she is glad about both those things. She joined the group when Alison Pill called her because she was excited about helping make small industry-wide changes that could maybe set bigger changes in motion to benefit all the folks who work in entertainment. In meetings, she is the one who won't turn on her camera today because she "doesn't feel like being perceived," and she is grateful for the energies and momentum of her inspiring partners in this work.
